Be aware that ER visit may not be completely covered
Be aware that they don’t cover all aspects of an emergency room visit. For example, an exam is necessary to diagnose the emergency. Not covered. Medications sent home (no prescription filled but meds to continue to treat acute episode) also NOT covered. Not very good coverage unless you pay more. They also scrounge around to get records from your general vet to see what might not be covered as a pre-existing condition. Dog had 2 episodes of swimmer’s ear that general vet miscategorized as chronic allergic dermatitis. Last episode was 2 years ago. Thus, I was alerted to the fact that it won’t be covered in the future. Disappointed that I purchased and may discontinue.
