Both the ER and Bush Neurology was incredible. Dr. Sandy took her time and literally sat on the floor with us and out dog Elsa to show the return and answer all our questions. She was so forthcoming and positive, yet very humble and so easy to speak with. I really don't have the words to express our entire's family's appreciation, only a big hug would do. You were able to partner with the ER who was the only one that didn't have a 7-10 hour wait to be seen. The best thing was the honest assessment and presenting all the options by eliminating the need for an MRI given the case/situation.

I just had to share how happy I was with mine and my dogs experience at BVNS in Springfield. Dr. Barker and her staff all went above and beyond to make sure that my dog received the best care. My dog is normally anxious at the vet (even with medication) but he was the most relaxed I have ever seen him in a veterinary setting. Dr. Barker was very thorough in explaining options, and then, when I decided to pursue an MRI, she took her time showing me the images and explaining her findings in a way I could understand them. Basically, the whole experience was better than expected and I felt as though every staff member I came into contact with truly cared about my dog's well-being.

They should be ashamed to call themselves veterinarians. We took a rescue dog we are fostering for neurological evaluation. She was abused and traumatized before we got her. Whoever did the “evaluation” refused to speak with us, refused to view video of the dog interacting with us, our home environment and other dogs. In a matter of minutes they decided that she had no quality of life, awareness of her surroundings and came to the conclusion that she should be euthanized. All based on next to nothing. I can’t help wondering how many dogs have unnecessarily put down on equally negligent “evaluations”.

My dog was seen for the first time at BVNS for an mri. Everyone on both visits were friendly and extremely helpful. They were very honest with what my expectations should be and clearly explained how everything went. Communication, constantly was updated

*Update to previous review* Our dog, a dachshund mix, ruptured some discs, and required surgery for the second time. This was the second time our dog had surgery at Buch Veterinary Neurology. We drove over three hours, despite there being a different neurologist closer, because we trust them that much. The first surgery was about three years ago and our dog was in pain, but was still able to walk, although he was starting to get some cross over in his hind paws. Our dog did great and fully recovered. This past time, he was unable to walk or stand up. We were extremely concerned that he would be paralyzed, especially if we didn't act quickly. Our primary vet reached out to them and our dog was admitted into the vet hospital that night and the next morning they did surgery. They provided great care for our fur baby and they have excellent bedside manner with both the animals and their humans. We are now on the sixth day post-op and, while our dog is still not strong enough to walk quite normally yet, he is able to stand up and he is able to walk. We're still supporting him with a sling, but I am expecting a full, or nearly full recovery for him and I have to say that is a miracle. Bush Veterinary, especially Dr. Bush, who did both of our dog's surgeries, is nothing short of a miracle worker in our opinion. I'm sure there are cases that will not get the same result, but if there is any chance of recovery, I believe they can make it happen. We are looking forward to many more years with our 8-year-old pup. I would give them 1 millions stars, if it were possible!
