How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Utah Veterinary Emergency Center
Preventive care
Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.
Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance

Welcoming, kind, and supportive staff who truly care about both pets and their owners. The level of care was comprehensive and professional from start to finish. They were wonderful with our 7½-year-old Labradoodle, making him feel comfortable and at ease throughout his visit. He needed X-rays and lab work, and I really appreciated that everything could be done on-site. Even better, they were able to provide the test results while we were still there, which gave us peace of mind and allowed for quick decisions about his care. What also stood out was how thoughtfully they cared for both pets and people. They offered complimentary beverages and snacks for humans, treats for the animals, and even had a charging cord and power brick available so I could charge my nearly dead phone while we waited. They’ve truly thought of everything and have created an environment that is as comfortable and welcoming as possible during what can be a stressful situation. If our dog ever has another emergency, Utah Veterinary Emergency Center will be our first choice without hesitation. We are grateful for the excellent care and highly recommend them to anyone in need of emergency veterinary services.

Dr. Sharber and the staff are all incredible! This was easily the best and fastest vet experience I’ve had, especially for emergency care. I brought my Bernedoodle here after she got a large splinter that went all the way through her paw pad, and they saw us immediately and took care of it much faster than any other vet I’ve visited! They were so kind and took excellent care of my sweet Cleo 🥹 15/10, I will come back here every time I need emergency pet care!!

I will bring all of my animals here for everything they ever need. I took my dog to another vet that told me and my kids that our dog will probably die soon due to an abscess on her bottom. He said she was too old. Just give her some pain meds and let her go. Our dog is a 14 year old part of the family. I went to this place to get a second opinion and was told that she would be just fine. The other vet’s diagnosis was bogus. This place was beautiful and clean. The staff super nice and helpful. The dr. was very thorough and professional. Love love love this place!!

I cannot say enough great things about this veterinary team. Last night, my Golden Retriever, Millie, experienced a seizure, and from the moment we walked through the doors, we were treated with the utmost respect, compassion, and professionalism. The level of care we received was truly white-glove service. The staff acted quickly, remained calm, and kept us informed every step of the way. They gave Millie immediate attention and handled her situation with incredible expertise, kindness, and attention to detail. During a very stressful and emotional time, they made us feel supported, heard, and genuinely cared for. Their compassion for both pets and their owners is unmatched. Every member of the team went above and beyond to ensure Millie was comfortable and received the best possible care. The professionalism, urgency, and flawless execution of their work gave us complete confidence that she was in the best hands possible. Thank you for treating Millie like family and providing such exceptional care when we needed it most. We are beyond grateful and highly recommend this clinic to anyone looking for outstanding veterinary care.

Dr. Janell Casey is amazing!! The staff are also great! I feel incredibly lucky to have her caring for my dogs—she truly takes the time to understand what’s going on and is committed to helping my Gus get better. 🐶🐾 She spends quality time explaining everything clearly and makes sure you understand her approach, including what she recommends for diagnosis and why. It’s obvious she genuinely cares. The staff is also very caring and great with both my dogs, and their customer service is excellent! I highly recommend UVEC to anyone looking for exceptional care for their pets!
