How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Best Friends Veterinary Clinic

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Love this place! I bring my dogs there for checkups and shots. Dr. Sobers is very caring and knowledgeable. All the staff are very friendly. Everyone was very caring when I had to put my yorkie down. They allows me to take my time and say my goodbyes to my little bear Dixi. I highly recommend this place. Happy New Year 🎊!

I love this office and staff so much! We've been going for years and both of my dogs LOVE going to Best Friends. I have to beg my current pup to take a little walk to go tinkle before his appointments because all he wants to do is get inside to see all of his friends. We were last there just to update his vaccines and didn't have an appointment to see the doctor. But, she saw him in the hall before we checked out and just wanted to check his heart and give him a look over before we headed out. We love Dr. Sobers! She genuinely cares as does everyone on staff. They are all very knowledgeable and wonderful with animals. We recently moved and could find a vet closer but I wanted to stick with this gem of a practice ❤️

My bestie took her sweet Lucky here and the veterinarian was honest, caring and had empathy for the situation. She took her time and explained options and respected my friends decision on how to proceed. Great to know there is a Vet who has amazing beside manners.

Dr Sobers & the entire staff are so compassionate and caring of their clients! Our dog had some issues well past closing time so we left a message thinking we would hear back in the morning but Dr Sobers got back to us right away and checked on us throughout the evening to make sure things were Ok until we could come in the morning. So appreciate the love and care they have for our dogs!

So few vets left like Dr. Sobers. She doesn't talk you into needless tests, offers various solutions, and tells it like it is. Her staff is equally as caring and sensitive about our elderly cat. She reaches out to see how your pet is doing after a visit. I hope she never retires! Many vets are becoming "corporate" and incredibly expensive so much so that I fear few will adopt a pet in the future as the cost for even routine care is becoming financially impossible.
