How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Buck Animal Hospital
Preventive care
Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.
Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance
Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Every visit is one-time, with care and respect given to both the pet and owner. Reception is also fantastic, prompt, and informative. More than a decade my pet has been going here. Thier new online chat system is fantastic, as it allows me to quickly give information, on record, for upcoming visits. If you have leftover medication or food/toys/bins, they take donations, and actively give them out to those in need. Can't give 6/5 stars, I guess 5/5 will do. Charlie also approves.

Professional and compassionate! My 10yrs cat Oreo recently had an eye enucleation here due to severe glaucoma. It was a tough time for us. I was worried about her condition as a senior cat, her quality of life afterwards, and all the costs. I had so many worries. However, the vets here are very professional and kind. They gave me a call immediately after the surgery to let me know everything went beautifully, which eased my worries a lot. And they followed up the next day to check on us, too. My cat is recovering wonderfully and is back to her happy self. Thanks to this amazing team!

The veterinarians and staff at this place are amazing. They are caring and respectful and a really great environment to be in. They listen to your concerns and really evaluate your pet. They don't push extra tests on you and add additional costs unless it's necessary. And they explain the resoning behind why something needs to be done. They have taken care of my two cats splendidly. For my female cat I called in the morning due to concerns and I was seen that afternoon. The way they help even calm you when your worried about your animal is great. They are understanding in regards to cost, they don't overcharge like a lot of other places. When I had to get some extensive teeth surgery for my one cat they had a really good payment option so I didn't have to pay a very large amount right up front. They would email and message me through their app system when there was an appointment reminder or if the vet was going to call or needed to see my cat again, because a follow-up was needed. The veterinarian actually called one evening to describe the results of a test for my one cats which was absolutely appreciated. I can't drive so it's helpful for me if someone can call and explain things instead of having to go in again. They're knowledge of their products that they sell is amazing as well. I would recommend the buck animal hospital to anyone and am glad I have my cats registered with them.

My cat has been a patient of Buck Animal Hospital for just about 10 years and we've received nothing but the best standard of care. Admin/staff have always been responsive and helpful, and the veterinary team have always taken the time to understand my pet's health and explain all of the treatment and options available as things have come up over the years. They also keep up with advances in the field and have been proactive in communicating relevant information that could be helpful to my pet. My partner who has used other local vets in the past mentioned that the standard of care at Buck seemed much higher, and we agreed we will only be using them going forward.

We had to do the right thing recently and help our senior cat cross the Rainbow Bridge. I could hardly get the words out when I called Buck Animal Hospital that day, just over a week ago now. The receptionist was so very kind and filled in the words I was trying to say in between my tears and grief. We were offered 2 appointment times that day to choose from. I could not have asked for better care for our sweet girl. Dr Mallory Gilmer was very professional, kind, understanding and compassionate. She explained everything to us. We didn't feel rushed. It was a very quiet peaceful last time with our pet. The price was reasonable. And today, we received such a beautiful sympathy card from the whole staff there. I was so touched, words cannot express adequately my gratitude to have such caring people for our vet care. I would definitely recommend Buck Animal Hospital and particularly Dr Mallory!
