I've had to take my dog here twice and both experiences were incredible. For an emergency vet, their prices are very reasonable, the staff was kind, they answered all of our questions and went over our options. The students and their supervisors do a great job caring for the pets in their care. I'm beyond thankful we have them here in Stillwater!

Had to take my daschund here at around 8 in the evening and we were out by 930. It wasn't an emergency (but it was) and the dr and students were very good. I did not like that they had to take my boy back without me but I had to trust that process and they did exactly what was needed (gland expression) and he had immediate relief. It was an emergency in the sense that waiting another full day before he could see his regular vet on Monday was like torture for him. We will both sleep good tonight. Thanks dr.

After my cat got sick out of the blue on Monday night I took him here. The staff were super kind and understanding, they called everyday (sometimes twice a day) to give me updates on my baby. It was definitely expensive but they were able to refund me money from my deposit. If you have the money and can't take get ahold of your primary vet i would definitely recommend!

My son found a hit kitten out by Kaw City and we called them and they told us because it wasn’t found in Stillwater there was nothing they could do for it….so that tells me they don’t give a shit about any animal!!!! You can tell one leg is broken but what about internal bleeding….hopefully it survives the night so we can take it to the vet tomorrow

Update: We have to remove quite a few stars- they LOST our deceased animal! We've already paid the cremation fees, bought the urn, paid the necropsy... never in my life. They have to make this right, I can't even begin to describe the pain I'm feeling. They called with the necropsy results and we asked again when they'd be releasing our baby to Strode funeral home. We just got a bunch of "I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I don't know what to say. I'm sorry." It doesn't negate what I wrote below though. _______________ They have always saved the life of our pets. Tonight, that didn't happen. 😪 I've always trusted them with serious issues, but after losing our baby tonight we see another side of the hospital that I have never known. This was the first loss of a baby in our family, only 1.5 years old, he was already not breathing by the time we could get across town. We called in the way and the nurse was at the door. She said, "Give him to me!" And swooped off. No chats about money, nothing, I had already cried into the phone, "Whatever it takes we have a credit card." They tried everything as long as we asked. They were kind, sincere, caring. I don't know how much it costed, because in a situation like this money wasn't discussed. Instead they respectfully put our baby in a blanket on a baby blanket and brought him to a special room that's comforting and humbly sad, as it had decor obviously for a farewell. We were given a precious clay pawprint set, we were given time to say goodbye, and given the option for an autopsy or to take his body home. We decided to do the autopsy as he's so young and we need to know if his siblings will be OK (genetic, natural, what happened?). They gave us Strode funeral information and were completely careful towards our needs, listened to us repeating the same story over and over without ever looking bored, "My son called and said he just collapsed, I flew to get him here." They've saved our pets a lot. That's their job. But something about the way they handled the loss stood out so much more to me. As I sit here in shock, my grand baby I bottle nursed from a week old, is gone... I'm so thankful for this place. Pics of our pets they saved and our beloved Oreo, Toby. Yes, it costs, all ERs cost, go to SMC ER and find out... but they're great. They're really great and so smart.
