My kitten recently hurt her leg falling off my bed and I tried an emergency med vet and waited so long and never was seen and the next morning, bright and early I was on the phone to all the local vets to have my kitten seen due to my current vet not having doctors available that day . I called Mahoning Valley Veterinary and the receptionist worked her magic to get my cat in when so many other places said they were scheduling a few weeks out. I couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome and how smooth the process went. I highly recommend and they answered all questions I had and explained everything . I was also impressed with the pricing as well. Thank you for being the answers to my stressful day. I’m glad my cat had the staff to look after her . Thank you again From Mega 🌟

Beautiful office and awesome staff! I had my nervous cat as well as my daughter and the staff was awesome with my cat and even carried him in&out for me since I was pushing a stroller too. I did have to wait a little bit but just like any doctor, stuff happens. I will be taking my dog here from now on, too!

the staff is friendly and helpfull for the most part. However they have been curbside only since the start of COVID and a remodel of the building. It's been very difficult discussing issues, sometimes they call and sometimes they walk out to the car. I really think the system, in how it is currently lacking face to face discussions with the vet has been not great for my dogs care. I also have an issue with Dr Ballinger. I brought my dog in for shots, which were late and Dr Ballinger when he called me on the phone sounded disappointed & surprised all at once and said she was in good health, mentioned her shots being late and said "blind neglect paid off". I was too surprised to say anything at the time, also I really didn't feel like explaining that her shots were late because her previous owner, my mom, died and her shots were late by the time I transferred her records, and I was dealing with her death and estate. I don't think it matters though, trying to shame someone while getting vet care for their pet seems like it will never end well. In this case, it was the final straw and has me looking for a new vet. so even when curbside only ends I strongly advise anyone to not see Dr Balinger Update:. The fact that the business is admonishing me for leaving a review only confirms I made the right choice to switch. It’s laughable they want me to “communicate “ with management when they have barriers to doing so. I haven’t liked the system for years and have said so. The business wore out their good will & this was the result

Highly disappointed! My husband brought home a 5 week old puppy in late January and 10 days later we had our first visit. Our experience was great, the staff were great not only with us, but our puppy as well. The Vet was even better, he was extremely friendly and answered all our questions without hesitation. Throughout the last 5 months we have 5-6 visits to this office getting check ups and vaccines and continued to be extremely satisfied. During one of these visits our puppy was prescribed Heartgard and Nexgard which we purchased during our visits. Our puppy is finally fully vaccinated and although we were scheduled to have her spayed at this office at the end of next month we were told she would not need to return to the office unless there was any issues for one year. So I recently placed a order through Chewy for the medications prescribed. I was notified by Chewy that I needed to contact the vets office for the script. I left a message and today my call was returned. The girl I spoke to made me aware that i could not get a script for this medication because my puppy would need brought to the office monthly to be weighed for dosage purposes . Keep in mind there is a 30lbs weight limit between the different doses. Then I was told how this is not something they could do because I would need a new script from their office monthly and also that “I have no idea how much work that takes”. I then asked since my only option is to purchase through them could they price match comparable to Chewy’s prices. I was told that “ We aren’t going to change our prices for you” Since this conversation my puppies surgery scheduled at the end of the month has been cancelled. We have another appt set up with another local vet who made me aware they work closely with Chewy and would have no issues sending her scripts to them at any time. They also made me aware that I wouldn’t be required to be there monthly that I could obtain my own weight at home and call them with it. Again, I’m very disappointed that there couldn’t be some common ground here. Especially since no one can enter this building, so you are required to sit in your car during every visit for ongoing construction. And to deny my puppy the medication that was prescribed by this office unless I follow these guidelines is heinous. Says a lot….. thanks but no thanks
