VCA Fleming Island Animal Hospital is an amazing place to take your pets. Everyone who works there is phenomenal. They’ve cared for my cats for years, and recently my boy, Crazy, went into a rapid decline from kidney failure. Watching him struggle was heartbreaking. Charlie, Amber, and the staff treated Crazy — and me — with incredible compassion, patience, and honesty. The compassionate and knowledgeable Dr. Tisdale went over all options to keep Crazy alive for an undetermined amount of time. His condition was terminal, and she didn’t sugarcoat it, but she helped me understand every choice. I chose one of the options, and Crazy was back to almost normal for several months, though I knew his condition was slipping again. When the time came to make the most difficult decision to euthanize, they handled it with kindness and dignity. They gave me the space I needed and treated Crazy with love and respect. I will forever be grateful for their care and support. I cannot recommend VCA Fleming Island Animal Hospital enough — they treat pets like family and stand by you through the hardest moments.

I have been so happy with the patient care at this VCA location! I adopted a senior husky from the shelter in February, a week after his double enucleation. We previously brought him to a different VCA but this location always handles him so well. He’s a sweet boy who loves treats and pets- up until his exam when he needs to get some pre meds to help with his anxiety. Even with him resisting some of the services he needs, the techs and doctor tisdale are always willing to help try new ways to get him comfortable. As someone who also works in an animal clinic, I’m beyond impressed with the client communication and treatment of the patients here. Thank you to the doctors, techs and receptionists who help keep my baby healthy :)

I took my kitten here for a wellness check. The staff and environment were 5 stars and I really liked Dr. Graves. The only thing that bothered me was that I was charged $105 for a fecal without any prior discussion. I was told they were doing a fecal, fine. That is normal for kittens but over $100 for a fecal is outrageous. I worked in vet med for a over decade in primary care, ER and neuro. We would not charge our clients without giving a treatment plan prior or at least getting a verbal consent of the costs.

They took amazing care of our baby. The Vet even pretends cakes next day to follow up to see how she was doing. Super friendly staff. Highly recommend for your future kids.

Very kind staff, took great care of my senior dog. Jax has never been happier to pay the vet a visit, he tries to say hello to all of the staff (he use to be afraid of the vet!) been an all around positive experience for my boy. Edit: I now have a cat who shows a lot of confidence in her vet visits. She willingly comes out of her crate and greets staff with happy little chirps.
