How to Save on Veterinary Costs at FloridaWild Integrative Veterinary Center & Urgent Care

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

I honestly couldn't be happier with my experience here! I brought my leopard gecko, General Iroh, in and from the moment we walked through the door, everyone was so friendly, welcoming, and genuinely cared about him. The veterinarian was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to go over my husbandry, offer helpful suggestions, and answer every question I had without making me feel rushed. I learned so much during the visit! They also sent me home with a ton of useful information and resources, which I really appreciated. It's clear they want pet owners to feel confident caring for their animals, not just get them in and out the door. They also followed up with a phone call the next day to check on The General and make sure he was feeling better and see if I had any questions. The pricing was very fair, and I was especially thankful that they were able to get my gecko in for an appointment so quickly. Since it's not always easy to find a veterinarian who treats reptiles, finding a clinic with this level of expertise was such a relief. This experience completely won me over. I'll be making this my primary veterinary office for all of my pets, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone—especially fellow reptile owners. It's so refreshing to find a team that is compassionate, knowledgeable, and truly passionate about the animals they care for!

The staff was so sweet and attentive! They took great of my chihuahua mix as she was terribly sick! Definitely wasn’t the most affordable place but it was worth the care my dog received! I also appreciated how they followed up to make sure my senior dog was getting better! It showed they care.

I’ve been bringing my pets here for about 3 years now, and I truly couldn’t imagine going anywhere else. The entire staff genuinely cares about your pets and treats them like their own. I once brought one of my bearded dragons in because she was showing signs of distress, and I was amazed by how quickly and compassionately they responded. As soon as I arrived, they rushed out, carefully took her back, and immediately began helping her. That level of care and urgency meant so much to me. I completely trust them with all of my pets’ health and well-being. Dr. Kelly is who we normally see, and I absolutely love her. She’s kind, knowledgeable, and always takes the time to make sure we feel cared for and informed. I’m so grateful for this team and everything they do.

Thank you to FloridaWild for taking their time with me when my 10 year old parakeet, Blue, was brought in on Saturday evening 5/30 very ill. I felt cared for and acknowledged for my pet's urgency to get in on the first phone call and they were busy and short staffed but ensured me they would call back if they had availability. They also offered 2 other vets that take birds in case they couldn't see us that day. I received a call back and was told Dr. Kelly who is a bird specialist was there and would be the best to assess Blue. Upon my arrival the grounds of the clinic are inviting and calming. Jana, greeted me in the lobby and I was then seen by a vet tech, Jalen. He was so compassionate and helped to manage my stress of how poorly my bird's health was. I then met Dr. Kelly who not only answered all my questions and addressed my concerns but sat down and talked with me. Between her and Jalen, I was there 2.5 hours and left feeling hopeful and was told if anything changes they are also open Sunday. Unfortunately, Blue declined quickly and Sunday morning came and I had to make the heart breaking decision to put her to rest. The whole process was well explained and from what I was told very peaceful. They wrapped Blue in a towel and laid her in the cage. I received a sympathy card later the next week. 💜🐦 Thank you all, Jana, Jalen, Dr. Kelly and Dr. Schrager.

We were there for an appointment on 4/9/2026 for my dog Theo's first visit and spent $439.00, (lab work they sent out, comprehensive visit. Milly was our tech and Dr. Quigley was our vet ) and were told that lab results would be available in 2 days and then they would call us for results but now it's 4/20/2026 and we still have not gotten a call. I called today but I had to leave a message and I still don't have Theo's lab results. I really want to start him on heartworm prevention but I have to wait for results on the test, as well as many other lab values they wrote for. We're pretty disappointed.
