How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Forgotten Coast Animal Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

I wouldn’t choose anywhere else to take my pets. I recently left my career of almost 10 years in vet med and animal care, and know Dr. Craig and veterinary technician Jessica from working in Wakulla years ago. I sought these two out and I’m so glad I did. The entire staff is amazing, prices are great, and my dogs felt like they were at home, which, with them growing up in veterinary hospitals, this was important to me. Oakley and Maverick are on their way to get pup cups after their first of many annuals with Forgotten Coast Animal Hospital, and we can’t wait to bring our kitty Charm.

Yesterday was my first visit with this vet office. I have a new 5 month old puppy, Victor, that I recently adopted and wanted to make sure he was up to date on shots and everything he needs. This office came highly recommended and I see why. The front desk staff was AMAZING! Explained all my options and quickly got us back to our personal room. Everyone was so friendly. Shots went easy and Victor had a great experience. I was able to talk to them about food issues I am having with Victor. He’s a picky eater and I did not feel judged when I explained I was not getting it right because he has loose stool. They offered suggestions and even provided dog food to try. I also found them to be very affordable. I haven’t had a puppy in years but I’m happy that I chose this office to care for Victor. They gave this dog momma the little boost of confidence I needed. Thank you!

My beautiful 14 year old Black Lab passed away on August 13th. I had her cremated. Forgotten Coast Animal Hospital arranged her pick up from Allied Veterinary Emergency Hospital and the cremation itself. Enola loved her visits with her doctor and staff. She was a beautiful girl and is missed by her K-9 brother and myself. Thank you to the staff at Forgotten Coast for your love and respect for my Enola, it's so appreciated.

The staff was incredibly kind and wonderful. I brought my dog in for the first time as he woke up very sick, they gave me an appointment for that morning. unfortunately he passed away within a few minutes of walking in for his appointment but the team was quick to rush and help and did everything they could. They were an incredibly good and kind team and the dr was very kind as well and gave me answers and options. thank you guys for being there and helping during a very difficult time. would 10/10 recommend these guys.
