Preventive care

Me and my wife have been taking our family pets to Valley vet for 25 years, they are excellent not only in the healthcare they give our animals but they go out of their way to find this resources outside of what they offer, and when that tragic day comes when you lose the pet that you love so much they are there with kindness compassion Way Beyond anything that would be expected I recommend and highly recommend Valley Vet to anybody that loves

I have been taking my animals to Valley vet for over 20 years but this time I had some serious problems that I’m not happy with. I took my elderly Chihuahua in. She wasn’t feeling good. They wanted to do 700+ dollars to diagnose her. I asked them if they could maybe take some of the things off so they did to make the bill better. One of the things that they took off of the bill was a quick response For a radiologist to read a scan. Thought lowered the bill may be 100 and something dollars. They kept her there and they called me less than an hour later letting me know the diagnosis and that a surgery Around $3000 I told them that I was not able to do that and I had to make the choice to take her home and let her pass away which was really hard for me and my family. They said OK and they said that they’d like to give me some additional medication’s and fluids for her. So I asked her what the total amount on my bill would be after the additional medication’s and she said 619 and I said OK I will do that when I got there they charge me $776. When I asked them what was going on they just seemed like they didn’t care and they said that they told me that that’s how much it was gonna cost that it was written down and that’s it. There’s nothing They can do. They kept calling me to reiterate, how urgent the surgery was, which I was aware of, and I let them know that I understood. I told them that financially, I could not afford it. They kept calling me back. They told me at one point that she had to be seen. I’m not even sure what that means. Finally, I decided to have her put down by them and I wanted my daughter who I’ve written into their paperwork as somebody who can take care of things she’s 25. I wanted her to take the dog down because at that point I had had enough. I was sad about the dog. And they insisted that I come down and sign papers to allow her to be the one to do this so I had to take my dog somewhere else. The experience this time with them was terrible. I feel like they just really cared mostly about the money. They weren’t willing to fix things. They just basically told me too bad. I’m.very disappointed.

I really like Dr. Smoak. She takes her time with each patient, explaining things and gives great information, referrals, etc. I definitely recommend this vet to anybody with a fur baby. The women at the front desk are also knowledgeable and friendly. Thank you for taking great care of Cowboy, Valley Veterinary!

Dr Hamilton is amazing. She has been taking care of my Xavier since birth. She is able to to keep him calm in stressful situations. Staff is also calm, caring and knowledgeable. Special thanks to Megan and Ana for this latest visit to the vet. Always a pleasure.

Unfortunately this place deserves a 1 star review. After we saw Dr. Fox, who treated our pet for an irritated ear that needed to be flushed, they insisted we come back two weeks later to recheck its in ear and they charged us over $100 just to look in its ear the second time. A total money grab and waste of time.
