Insurance is very important even in such an unexpected situation.
Insurance are very important. Adopted my pet who looked very perfectly healthy and fine and went home. Applied for an insurance a week after adopting. Didn't expect the health got worse three weeks after adopting and eventually my poor pet has to be put to sleep. It was very traumatic and stressful - it put our strain on our finance on vet visit and emergency visit. I want to thank insurance for making this process less stressful and put our finance a peace of mind with refund and claims even though we are grieving for our beloved pet.
It's important to keep medical record intact and documented otherwise.... it can delay payment.

Get accident only coverage for your pups!
My experience with Spot has only been positive. I’ve had accident only coverage for my 1 year golden retriever since she was a puppy, and unfortunately needed it after she had an intestinal blockage from eating out of the trash (typical golden). Spot processed both of my claims within 2 weeks, contacted my vets for me, and I received the money within 2 days after they finished their review. They provided peace of mind financially during a difficult time, and for that I’m grateful!

So grateful to SPOT for being there for our girl
My kitty Buttercup randomly got really sick. She had a fever for over a week. Since we didn’t know why she had a fever, the vet needed to run several different tests on her which were SO expensive. I was SO thankful and relieved to have SPOT insurance during this time. It was so nice to be able to say yes to every test she needed, instead of worrying if we’d be able to afford it. Our Butters is all better now and we have been reimbursed. I can’t express enough how easy the claim process was. I’m just so happy with the experience.
Monthly Cost
Rates start at: $10 (for accident only), $16 (Complete Coverage). plan costs vary based on plan type, pet breed, age, and location.
Coverage
The pay-out amount is based on the actual vet bill, at a rate pre-selected by the customer: 90%, 80% or 70%
Payout Limits
Annual limits can be set by the customer, ranging from $2,500 to $20,000, including an unlimited option.
No lifetime limits.
Deductible
$100, $250, $500, $750 or $1000 annually.
Age Limits
No upper age limits. Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll.
Waiting Period
There are no waiting periods for preventive care. Coverage begins 14 days after date listed on policy for accidents, illnesses, and knee/ligament conditions.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions, cosmetic procedures and breeding costs are not covered.
Spot Pet Insurance has two Preventive Care plans that can be added to help cover a pet’s wellness care, including annual exams, vaccinations, tests, dental cleanings and flea/heartworm preventive. Preventive Care plans reimburse up to a set amount for each listed treatment.
If your pet exhibited symptoms of a knee and ligament condition at any time, prior to enrollment or during a waiting period, all ligament and knee conditions will be excluded. Ligament and Knee are conditions involving a ligament, patella, meniscus or soft tissue disorder of the knee.
