I love never having to hesitate taking my dog to the vet
I’m on my 4th shitzhu and I’ve only needed pet insurance for “last illness”, but Chloe has been a different story. Within her first 6 months she poked her eye in something and it became infected and ulcerated…. First we ran to the vet but after they looked at her they sent us to the Animal Eye Clinic . She needed surgery, multiple meds every day and lots of follow up visits. When it looked as if the eye was saved, as well as her sight, we slipped her in to the vet to be spayed. Then, she scratched her other eye! Back to Animal Eye… this time no surgery but many meds daily and many follow up check ups. We came in close to the $10,000 annual limit ( a little over $8,000) . SPOT paid on each individual claim, less our deductible and then 80% of the balance. Their online portal is even easy enough for me to navigate without help from children or grandchildren! They paid each claim promptly. It’s nice to know I have a financial partner to help keep my Chloe well.
