I would give them a zero star rating
I would give them a zero star rating. I paid thousands of dollars and when it came to submit for a claim they indicate it’s pre existing conditions or the deductible of $500 has to. E met each year. Well if you think about it you never get them to pay especially if your pet see a vet once a year for routine check up and due to the yearly deductible they never pay you back.

Excellent Pet Insurance Company!
We have had Pumpkin as our pet insurance provider for our two Chihuahuas for a few years now, and we are so glad that we chose Pumpkin.
One of our Chihuahuas, Wyatt, broke one of his toes on his paw, and it was an extensive and long healing process (6+ weeks). Pumpkin was there every step of the way for us. Pumpkin’s representatives were so kind, friendly, and compassionate to us. They paid all of his claims promptly. We really appreciated them.
They also have paid claims and assisted us with our other Chihuahua, Ambrose, when he has had an illness here and there.
Our previous pet insurance company was second rate compared to Pumpkin, and we are so glad we made the switch! Thanks Pumpkin! I highly recommend them for your pet insurance needs.
Monthly Cost
Plans start as low as $30 per month. Prices vary based on plan type, pet breed, age, and location.
Coverage
Every pet is covered by a 90% reimbursement rate to make it easier to say “yes” to the best possible care.
Payout Limits
Annual limits of $10,000, $20,000 or unlimited for dogs and $7,000, $15,000 or unlimited for cats.
Deductible
3 options: $100, $250, $500 and $1000
Age Limits
No upper age limits. Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll.
Waiting Period
Insurance coverage begins 14 days after your policy begins for all conditions, including knee/ligament issues where some other policies make you wait 6 months for coverage. No waiting periods for preventive care (in fact, depending on when you received the care, you may be eligible for a retroactive refund).
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered. However, unlike some other pet insurances, Pumpkin’s plan covers some curable pre-existing conditions if symptom-free for 180 days, with the exception of knee and ligament conditions. For full terms, visit pumpkin.care/insurancepolicy.
