Pumpkin Pet Insurance - Best decision EVER for our dood

Pumpkin Pet Insurance was a life saver when our dog was recently diagnosed with melanoma. They were great to deal with! It was so easy to submit a claim and the claims were processed quickly. They mailed our claim payment checks right to our house. It's so nice to know I can depend on them when our goldendoodle encounters any medical issues in the future!

I cannot recommend my dog insurance…

I cannot recommend my dog insurance provider highly enough! From the very beginning, they have shown exceptional care and support, processing my claims quickly and efficiently, which has been a huge relief during unexpected vet visits. What truly touched my heart was their kindness after my beloved dog passed away; they sent a beautiful gift in his memory, demonstrating their genuine compassion. Overall, my experience has been overwhelmingly positive, and I appreciate having a provider that truly cares about both pets and their owners.

Monthly Cost

Plans start as low as $30 per month. Prices vary based on plan type, pet breed, age, and location.

Coverage

Every pet is covered by a 90% reimbursement rate to make it easier to say “yes” to the best possible care.

Payout Limits

Annual limits of $10,000, $20,000 or unlimited for dogs and $7,000, $15,000 or unlimited for cats.

Deductible

3 options: $100, $250, $500 and $1000

Age Limits

No upper age limits. Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll.

Waiting Period

Insurance coverage begins 14 days after your policy begins for all conditions, including knee/ligament issues where some other policies make you wait 6 months for coverage. No waiting periods for preventive care (in fact, depending on when you received the care, you may be eligible for a retroactive refund).

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. However, unlike some other pet insurances, Pumpkin’s plan covers some curable pre-existing conditions if symptom-free for 180 days, with the exception of knee and ligament conditions. For full terms, visit pumpkin.care/insurancepolicy.
