The best possible experience if you have a question or a claim

One of our cats had a mysterious illness. Tests were inconclusive and she slowly got better. We submitted 4 claims that were paid promptly. Prior to submitting the claims, I had questions and called customer service. It was refreshing that the person on the other end of the conversation was polite, well spoken, knowledgeable and had a sense of humor. We can recommend Pumpkin highly!!

Great Help From The Agents!!

The agents that I talked with during my first year with Pumpkin was a very pleasant experience. I was concerned about the length of time it took to process my claims. Everyone that I talked with was friendly,knew what they were doing and helpful. In fact, my talks with the agents was the main reason that I renewed for another year with Pumpkin.

Monthly Cost

Plans start as low as $30 per month. Prices vary based on plan type, pet breed, age, and location.

Coverage

Every pet is covered by a 90% reimbursement rate to make it easier to say “yes” to the best possible care.

Payout Limits

Annual limits of $10,000, $20,000 or unlimited for dogs and $7,000, $15,000 or unlimited for cats.

Deductible

3 options: $100, $250, $500 and $1000

Age Limits

No upper age limits. Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll.

Waiting Period

Insurance coverage begins 14 days after your policy begins for all conditions, including knee/ligament issues where some other policies make you wait 6 months for coverage. No waiting periods for preventive care (in fact, depending on when you received the care, you may be eligible for a retroactive refund).

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. However, unlike some other pet insurances, Pumpkin’s plan covers some curable pre-existing conditions if symptom-free for 180 days, with the exception of knee and ligament conditions. For full terms, visit pumpkin.care/insurancepolicy.
