Extremely disappointed. WIsh I had gone with another company

My dog developed Giardia a few days after I signed up for the insurance. Since then it has progressed into a full blown chronic illness -- Pets Best has not covered one cent of my 10 k vet bill. I understand that there is a a "waiting period," but my dog went from a perfectly healthy puppy to a very sick one and not one penny was reimbursed by this company.

First time ever buying pet insurance

First time ever buying pet insurance. The process was quick and easy. I brought my pet to the vet 3 days after buying the insurance and Pets Best Health Insurance did exactly what they said they would by covering the treatment and care as stated in the upfront insurance coverages agreement and the reimbursement was received within a week of submitting the claim. For someone who is usually a skeptic, when it came to trusting an insurance company, I was pleasantly surprised. Without the pet insurance, I am not sure I would be able to afford the vet bill out of pocket with no assistance. Pets Best took care of 90% of the vet bill which was a huge financial relief. I would absolutely recommend Pets Best Pet Health Insurance to others.

Pets Best is Great

"I got Pets Best several months ago. One of my dogs recently suffered a bout of gastroenteritis and I spent several thousands of dollars at 2 vets to try and figure out what was wrong. Both vet offices sent the paperwork directly to Pets Best and I didn't need to do anything. My reimbursement came within 3 weeks. I could not be happier and I'm so glad that I chose this company!!"

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Get a quote for specific information on waiting periods in your state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
