Horrible Not worth the money unless you buy it…

Not worth the money unless you buy it the day of birth of you dog. That’s because if you don’t it will be denied because of pre existing conditions. I bought policy at 1 year and the have only paid a very small amount of a claim early just to make you think wow they paid that. But now my dog had an ear infection and they denied fir pre existing condition because he had one before policy was purchased. What a crock of bull, so the rest of his life they will never pay for ear infection because he had one before I bought policy. Has spring allergies needs medicine DENIED he had allergies before I bought policy. I have spent over $800 more to have insurance when I could have used that money to pay vet and been ahead in out of pocket. What a waste of time and money not to mention it takes a month to even look at claim. I canceled immediately after last claim NOT PAID for ear infection. Ridiculous 100% do not recommend unless maybe you buy it the day of birth but I’m sure they would find a way to not pay.

The insurance itself is well worth the…

The insurance itself is well worth the money in terms of what's covered for your pet. They had difficulty processing the claim and paying out on a timely basis. Took over a month for the first claim.

I feel like what is being covered and…

I feel like what is being covered and what is out of pocket is not lining up with how things were described when purchasing the plan. And things are not being covered because you say they are not a covered benefit, but I don't feel that's accurate. Maybe I'm wrong, or things are not listed clearly enough with you guys. But I am not really sure this pet insurance is worth it for us. It's feeling like a waste of money right now.

Monthly Cost

$6 and up, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

Accident and Illness plans with optional reimbursement levels of 70%, 80%, or 90% after the deductible. Flat Rate Accident coverage for $9/month for dogs and $6/month for cats. (Available in most states). Two optional Wellness plans to cover routine care. 24/7 Pet Helpline, powered by whiskerDocs is included on all policies. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill. Reimbursements are sent directly to CareCredit credit card when chosen as your default reimbursement method. Choose to have your eligible claim payment reimbursed directly back to your CareCredit card.

Payout Limits

$5000 -Unlimited annual limit, depending on your chosen plan. Unlimited lifetime limits.

Deductible

$50 – $1,000 annually.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 7 weeks old to enroll. Pets Best does not restrict coverage or availability for older pets.

Waiting Period

A waiting period refers to the amount of time after enrolling before your pet is eligible for coverage. Waiting periods vary by the type of coverage and start on the effective date of your policy. Once met, waiting periods are waived for continuous, uninterrupted policy renewals. Pets Best offers some of the shortest waiting periods in the industry following the policy effective date. Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Elective and preventive procedures are not covered.
