Always reliable, efficient and helpful.

I would recommend you to other pet owners and have over the years. This is our 3rd dog insured with you over the last 20 years and it's been always reliable and helpful with their health costs.

Mostly satisfied

I have had nationwide for over 4 years, they have been pretty good with covering my pets medical bills. My only issue is that it seems to take almost a month for the claims to be paid, and I am very confused with the payment scale that is used for each item that they cover.

So happy my pup is always covered!

My 5 year old lab presented a small lump on his side. In the past, I had a dog that needed emergency surgery for a lump and the cost of care was so much that I had to consider losing him, rather than proceeding with the surgery. Ultimately, I went through with the surgery (but took a huge hit to may bank account). Although my current dog's lump is benign, I'm glad that price doesn't stop me from getting the best care for my pet! It's that peace of mind that I LOVE about having Nationwide Pet Insurance! Thanks so much for keeping my pups healthy :)

They were there for me the whole time!

I'm so thankful for having nationwide by my side! My dog needed an expensive surgery along with numerous rechecks and bandage changes and they have given me back almost every penny so far! Such a great help!

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
