Best decision we ever made!

We have had many dogs over the years and didn't realize you could get pet insurance. A friend told us to investigate companies that provide pet insurance. We did investigate and found that Nationwide Pet insurance was the best fit for us. We have been very pleased with their service and response to our claims.

A NECESSITY FOR ALL PET OWNERS

Piece of Mind

I am very satisfied with Nationwide. Everybody I have dealt with on the phone has been personable and knowledgeable. Thank you for checking on Tucker, however, the last reimbursement was for heart-worm and tick prevention.

great service and response

My Keeshond who is only 10 years old was diagnosed in December with inoperable gastric carcinoma. The diagnostic cost alone was huge. they quickly responded paying the majority of the bill . They are continuing to pay for a large sum of the palliative care costs .I am retired, on a fixed income, so this has been an enormous help in allowing my Majic to be comfortable in her last days.Thank you.

Coverage

Nationwide offers a variety of plans offering varying levels of coverage. The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees. All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.

Payout Limits

Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances. There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Deductible

Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000. Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.

Age Limits

No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness. Other plans may have age restrictions.

Waiting Period

14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months). Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
