Nationwide is a good choice for your pet.
I am very happy and pleased with the recent coverage of Belles injury! The monthly cost is a little high for a dog who is 8 and had no prior serious problems, however I am pleased with the coverage of her ACL injury!
She is doing ok but the sensitivity to reinjury is high. We are doing our best to keep her quiet and somewhat confined. It’s just a matter of time and hopefully will not need the surgery. We shall see. Thank you for inquiring!

Wish reimbursement limits weren’t so low
For the most part I’ve been comfortable with the coverage. But the reason I got the policy when Elvis was a puppy was so that when he was older and I was faced with costly treatment that I could more easily get him the care he needed. The coverage for his most recent treatment was the exact example I had in mind 8 years ago. Easily treatable cancer. I didn’t think twice about agreeing to the surgery. But I was reimbursed about one third of the cost. I wonder if instead of paying the premium for eight years I would have better off to put that money in a savings account set aside for vet expenses. Maybe.

Ease of Mind
We have pet insurance so that we don’t have to worry about how to pay for the big one if it happens.
Well it happened. Our little girl tore her cruciate ligament and damaged her meniscus in her rear leg. The injury required surgery by a specialist. Huge cost.
But no worries, the surgery was covered by our insurance. The claim was filed and approved within a couple of days. Payment was very prompt.
Our puppy is well on the road to recovery. With the insurance we never had to worry about the costs and we were able to concentrate on getting our dog the needed treatment.
What a relief! Ease of mind. Thank you Nationwide.
