What good is it?
I see no positive benefit from the 24/7 vet helpline. I believe all they are going to do is tell you to take your animal to the nearest vet.

Great product, great service and now much improved payment turnaround time! Thanks!
I don't know what has changed, but what used to take 4-6 weeks to get paid is now days to less than a week. That alone keeps me from looking at other insurers options. Submitting the claim is a breeze on the Vitus App, and now payment through CQP, and quick turnaround on same is absolutely fabulous! I don't have to worry about affording and providing care to my fur baby for those emergency situations that add up quickly. GREAT JOB NW PET!

Claim Process Cumbersome
customer service is great. I typically have to call each time I want to submit a claim because something either isn't clear or I can't find information online. The claim process really does need improvement. The online form submission didn't work and the whole "form" process is old and should be updated to an online form and then attach the bills. Also, the need for all the diagnosis codes, etc should not be for me to complete; it's too complicated and time consuming for the customer. The vet bill should be enough information. The overall process is cumbersome, complicated, involves too much time and too much information.

The company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness, offers 90% reimbursement for accident, injury, illness and wellness care, inclusive of exam fees.
All Nationwide members have complimentary 24/7 access to vethelpline.
Payout Limits
Depending on the plan selected, there may be annual benefit limits or per incident benefit allowances.
There is no annual limit for the company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.
Deductible
Annual deductibles range from $0 to $1,000.
Most popular annual deductible for Whole Pet with Wellness is $250.
Age Limits
No age restriction to enroll in company’s most popular plan, Whole Pet with Wellness.

Waiting Period
14-day waiting period after application approved and payment of premium is received.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered on any plans (if a condition is curable, it may be eligible for review if pet remains treatment-free for at least six months).
Whole Pet with Wellness covers nearly all veterinary expenses. Notable exclusions include boarding and grooming.
