I am always greatly appreciative how all of my questions, concerns, and claims are satisfied quickly and in great detail of understanding.

My biggest complaint is the considerable increase in the monthly premium for 4 year-old Riley (from $95.36 to almost $133.00 for an additional cost of $450 for the year). Rather than increase the annual benefit slightly I would have preferred seeing the $250 annual deductible reduced.

Besides being a trusted name in insurance, the platform is seamless to set up an account and log in to submit claims. The policy options are clear to understand and processing is fast and easy with multiple options for reimbursement. I can focus on Romy without stressing about her pet care.

I follow the guidelines of what needs to be submitted for reimbursement (including the detailed vet bill and S.O.A.P. notes along with any other comments). I sent the documents on a Thursday evening. MetLife sent a message alerting me they received it and it would take up to 5 business days to make a decision. Just 4 business days after, I was notified MetLife would reimburse me 95% for the vet's total billing.

The premium got very pricey after 2nd yr renewal. It went up over 25/m per dog. In hindsight I can say it was worth it due to having the first claim a few months later. Once I made the claim they missed the diagnostic part of exam and denied it. They corrected it but after making a few calls and having to follow up a few times which was too much work and time spent, they finally corrected it so I very pleased they made it right. Almost all of the reps are helpful and professional. It’s just the constant following up that’s frustrating. Met life kept asking by email for the shipping date of a medication which was sent multiple times and kept emailing me it would be denied if I didn’t submit. So again I had to call two more times to finally get it resolved. I think they should be more proactive getting it rectified quickly. In the end, they reimbursed all of the claim. I’m hoping as time goes on I’ll see improvement in that department.
