How to Save on Veterinary Costs at UF Veterinary Hospitals Veterinary Pharmacy

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

An unbelievable caring and knowledgeably staff. They truly place the individualized, appropriate treatment ahead of all else. They are enhancing my sweet girl who has been fighting autoimmune poly arthritis for 4 years. They have given us hope for a stronger and less pain future for our sweet Callie.

My frenchie has had back surgery twice now from Dr. Kim in neurology. I would never trust another hospital over UF. I rate the staff, the doctor, and the facility as the best there is.

Having to go there under sad circumstances, it was made easier by the caring staff. Students, internal medicine doctors and oncologists are top notch. Carefully explain the results of tests and examination of your pet. Help you make the right decision in the pets best interest. They were so loving with my dear cat Penny who was diagnosed with lymphoma.

I’ve been getting my cats heart failure medicine from UF for over a year now, within the past few months there is an issue receiving my cats prescription every single time now. Either my requests are lost, I’m given a different patients medicine, or just flat out ignored. It shouldn’t take a pharmacy two weeks to fill a prescription. If my animal dies due to negligence from this pharmacy, buckle up for the legal repercussion's.

4 months out and still waiting on the $2700 that they owe me. I've contacted them several times with no resolution to the problem.
