How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Verandah Pet Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Everyone was so kind. This office gave the small town feel of being right at home . They treated us with such kindness we felt like family. We’re newish to the area and I’m so glad we found a vet/vet office to care for our babies. We definitely felt like they will be in great hands here. Thank you staff!

Our first visit with Verandah Pet Hospital and we were impressed! Dr. Welsh was amazing with our Chihuahua mix who was terrified once she realized she was at the vet. Her expertise and confidence at handling our little Remi definitely put us at ease. We moved to FL last year and the first vet at another location couldn't handle our little dog (gave Remi a giant bruise after blood work) and recommended that we give our dog a sedative before our next vet visit. So glad we found Dr. Welsh at Verandah Pet Hospital!!!

Dr. Presley at Veranda Pet Hospital is incredibly caring, genuine, and compassionate. She truly cares about her patients, and I felt my dog was in excellent hands with her. 🐾 My only concern is that the hospital doesn’t offer certain specialized services like ultrasounds or chiropractic care. For those, you’ll need to visit a more expensive vet. If your dog has a serious emergency, it’s best to go straight to an emergency vet — otherwise, you may end up paying twice for the same issue. Overall, Dr. Presley is wonderful, and I’m so grateful for the care she provides — just something to keep in mind if your pet needs more complex treatment.

Suki has been coming to verandah since she was a puppy and absolutely loves coming here. She’s especially fond of Dr.Welsh. They take such good care of her here, I couldn’t have asked for a better vet! :)

We had a hard decision to make with helping our cat Princess Lu Lu crossing the rainbow 🌈 bridge. Dr. Presley, Taylor and Shelby made a bad situation better with their kindness and thoughtfulness. Thank you so much
