How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Summerlin Animal Hospital
Preventive care
Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.
Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance
Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Had a great first experience here. I just moved back to this side of town and found them after trying a few other places. They were all very kind and loving to my baby and me. Happy to make this place my new vet for all my babies!

Our two cats had their first visit at Summerlin, and it was great! The doctor and nurse were very understanding and gentle with our nervous cats. They worked quickly while keeping them as comfortable as possible. Every step was explained to us, and we received recommendations for future care. It's reassuring to find a vet that really cares about out pets!

When we first moved to Fort Myers, we visited a few different vets and had a hard time finding one we could truly trust, someone who genuinely cared about what was best for my dog. After one disappointing experience, we found Summerlin Animal Clinic, and I’m so glad we did. Dr. Fry is truly one of the best veterinarians I’ve ever had. She genuinely cares about her patients and shows so much empathy and compassion. As a pet owner herself, she understands how stressful it can be when your pet isn’t feeling well. She always takes the time to explain everything clearly, answer every question, and make sure you feel informed and comfortable. Dr. Fry personally calls with test results, gives you time to talk through everything, and never makes you feel rushed. As someone who can be a bit of a “neurotic” pet parent, especially when my dog is sick, I can honestly say she’s always been incredibly kind, patient, and understanding. Everyone at Summerlin truly cares about the animals, and it shows in everything they do. They’re not just running unnecessary tests to make money; they genuinely want to find answers and do what’s best for your pet. I’m so grateful we found Summerlin Animal Clinic. It gives me so much peace of mind knowing my corgi is in such good hands. I can’t recommend them highly enough!

I only came to Summerlin Animal Hospital a few times near the end of my dog’s life, but every visit was positive. The wait time was short and the staff showed real care and compassion, even though he was a new patient. When we had to put him down, they fit us in last minute and created a peaceful, comforting environment for us to say goodbye. I’m grateful for how they handled such a hard moment, and I highly recommend them.

I brought my cat in for urinary issues and Dr. Erica was amazing! So knowledgeable and informative. My anxiety was quickly calmed after meeting her. They listened to what I wanted and what I could afford and still gave me great care
