We’ve been going to GoodVets ever since I first brought my puppy Ozzy home at 8 weeks old (swipe for baby Ozzy pics!), and the experience has been consistently outstanding (OzzyTheTributePup on Instagram!). Ozzy is now about 5½ months old, so we’ve had quite a few visits during his first months, and every single one has been smooth, supportive, and incredibly professional. Dr. Nafisi and his team is always incredibly patient with Ozzy and even help us get used to clipping his tiny nails! One thing that truly stands out is how efficient and organized the team is. After every appointment, I receive all of the documentation I need — including receipts and the detailed visit notes — usually within about 30 minutes of leaving the clinic. That turnaround time is remarkable and makes submitting Ozzy’s insurance claims incredibly easy. I’ve never seen a vet office handle post-visit paperwork that quickly or consistently. The staff is also incredibly responsive and knowledgeable. Whenever I’ve had follow-up questions — whether about flea and tick medications, puppy care, or general health questions — they provide thoughtful, detailed answers via email or phone that make me feel extremely confident in Ozzy’s care (which I need as an over-involved momma bear)! Most importantly, everyone at the clinic is genuinely kind and patient. As a first-time teacup breed puppy parent, that support means a lot. Ozzy is always treated with so much care and attention, and I truly feel like he’s in great hands. The clinic is always spotless and well-organized. I’m very grateful to have found GoodVets and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a veterinary team that is professional, responsive, organized, and truly cares about their patients.

Dr. Nafisi’s instincts and care truly made the difference for our two dogs. He was attentive, proactive, and even checked in after they were out of his care, which meant so much to us. Karina and Kim were amazing. They moved quickly and made sure we got to the right specialists right away. We always felt supported and in good hands. We’re beyond grateful. This is absolutely the team you want caring for your pets!!

I’ve had a very poor experience with the support staff at Goodvets. Not Rude and unprofessional but will neglect their duties, which can put your pet at risk. I gave them three stars cause the vets practitioners are great but you have to get past the support staff first

Clean, smells good (!), quiet environment. Staff is kind, attentive, and loving. Great place. I brought a stray here that we found two days ago. They were vey kind and understanding. Awesome place.

I went to GoodVets location in City Vista because my cat was sick and ultimately had to be put down. Scheduling appointments was really easy - online scheduling with next day availability. The clinic is really clean and Dr. Nafisi and the staff was very professional, giving me an upfront assessment of costs before proceeding with any procedure or medication, and they provided all the medication I needed on site. Dr. Nafisi in particular was very calm, clear, and helpful in his explanations of what was going on. Unfortunately the medication did not work and Dr. Nafisi recommended euthanasia once it became clear the cat was suffering and options for treatment were limited. Although I considered going to the DC animal shelter to put down the cat as it was less expensive, I ultimately decided to pay extra and go to GoodVets given my good prior experiences there. I'm glad I did - it was difficult saying goodbye to my diminutive family member of over a decade, but the staff there went the extra mile to make my cat comfortable, to give me time to say my goodbyes, and to extend their kindness and sympathies for the final gutwrenching moments and after. Although it was difficult I have nothing but good things to say about the doctor and the staff there, particularly the compassion and care they showed for my pet and for me.
