How to Save on Veterinary Costs at CityPaws Animal Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

I brought my cat here after having subpar service from another clinic on 14th street. Dr. Brennan and Al were so nice to work with! Dr. Brennan was very understanding and kind. I had been pretty stressed out and she put my mind at ease. My cat hates getting blood work and she was able to get here blood drawn so quick. I got her results back in 2 days with a very well written follow up and easy to order prescription on Chewy. Highly recommend City Paws and Dr. Brennan.

I've been going to CityPaws for 18 years now. I'm now taking my cat overseas. I'm so happy with how knowledgeable the entire staff is with helping in the complex process of taking a companion animal internationally, including the front desk, the tech, and the doctor. Doctors Decker and Bowman are certified to assist with this. They've obviously had lots of experience with it. Thanks to all!

The most egregious issue is that they are scheduling spay surgeries MONTHS out and yet did not offer to schedule a spay surgery when I brought my recently adopted pregnant cat in for a pregnancy xray - over a month ago. Cats go into heat every ten days. Fun. They also told me to use a heat lamp for the kittens, which you SHOULD NOT DO (I've learned the hard way) because it can cause their eyes to open prematurely.

I can't say enough great things about this vet office! The front desk staff are responsive, friendly, and so helpful. My pup saw Dr. Bowman and had so much fun she didn't want to leave. The staff treats my dog like she is their own and I always look forward to going! The techs are fabulous too! Thank you City Paws! Shout out to Frances at the front desk - you go above and beyond!

This place is a money maker! One of the front desk person is rude and when I informed the doctor, they apologized but the young lady is still there being rude. I am still suffering the lost of my pet due to poor care management. My pet of 13 years, I miss him daily. Please monitor your bills and make sure to ask what are they charging you for. In my case, I was charged yearly for distempered and rabies shots, to only find out they come in increments of 3 years which would have saved me money and time. Monitor your bills and question everything!!!
