I can’t say enough about the staff here. We were literally ready to put our 8 yr old down as we thought after so many tests that he had lymphoma he was limp not eating or drinking. Last minute we decided to get a 2nd opinion and ready to do whatever we could for our pup to confirm what we were being told. They took us in and did their due diligence put a treatment plan in place and we left him there for a night. The next morning they called early to let us know he had made a bit of progress and they arranged an appointment with a local oncologist to take a deep dive on their findings. Our dog is currently up in a specialist hospital in St Pete but if it weren’t for this team, I don’t know that our story would be the same. From the call I made at 6:30pm on a Sunday to us heading out the next day to our appointment this team was amazing. The care, cleanliness and skilled professionals is something I have not seen before. Thank you team Animal ER. You made a wonderful difference for our sweet boy. 💙

I brought in my neonatal kitten because it wasn’t doing well and had severe diarrhea. It was eating on its own two hours before I came. First, they wanted to know if was able to pay for the treatment if they were to do it. Note: They didn’t ask me this question when I was there with my husband with my dying cat back in August 2025. I said I would pay, I didn’t care how much it was. Second, they wanted to know where this kitten was from and I told them I was fostering it for last 5 days. They wanted the name of the organization, and this was the exact words they said, “in case you aren’t able to pay, we can have them liable to pay.” Third, come back out to tell me since it isn’t my cat, they want to speak to the President so they can confirm they will pay if I didn’t. I was texting her as they were speaking and I am a cofounder of our non profit so didn’t see the point SINCE I SAID I WAS PAYING!!! I think the way I was treated about money was definitely discrimination. If I had my white physician husband there, you would have never asked him all the questions you asked me. Please rethink how you approach customers. People shouldn’t be bothered nonstop if they can afford to pay if they told you from the beginning that they will pay for anything to keep kittens alive. Your lack of respect to me, a mixed race female, was not nice and honestly, disappointing. I went home and asked my husband if we were ever asked if we “could pay” in other words afford it. Shame on your practice. Bad actions to people who said what they say. I have a sick kitten and I will pay. I never asked you how much. I know how much through years of experience. Shameful and disrespectful. It is a shame because I live right next to the practice.

We couldn’t have asked for a better emergency room for our Bella. They were very thorough, thoughtful of us and Bella‘s needs. They explained every step that they were going to be doing for Bella. She was very critical and they saved her life. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anybody in case of an emergency with their Pet. We cannot thank the staff enough.

The team is very compassionate and loving. They took amazing care of our gentle giant. His ear is all bandaged and healing now! Thank you for the kindness you have always shown our family!

Very empathetic and kind staff. The veterinarian thoroughly evaluated our dog and provided a comprehensive protocol to remedy his illness. They were flexible in offering solutions that were budget friendly since his illness was not life threatening.
