I cannot express enough how wonderful my experiences have been at VCA Animal Hospital! From the moment I walk through the door, I am greeted by the warm and welcoming secretary, Lexi. She goes above and beyond to ensure that both my dog, Jax, and I feel comfortable and at ease. Her kindness and professionalism make every visit a pleasure. The pet technician, Janelle, is another gem at this clinic. She is incredibly sweet and always showers Jax with love and attention. Her calm demeanor and genuine affection for animals truly shine through, making each appointment a positive experience for both my pet and me. And let’s not forget about Dr. Greenland, the amazing veterinarian! His expertise and compassionate approach to care are unmatched. He takes the time to listen to my concerns and answers all my questions with patience and clarity. I feel confident that my furry friend is receiving the best possible care under his guidance. Overall, VCA Animal Hospital is a fantastic place for pet care, and I am grateful to have found such a dedicated team. They are the very best - caring and helpful always - life is easy when anything is needed - they also keep you informed as to what is medically needed for your animal. Most important "Princess" loves her visits and loves Dr. Greenland.

Money hungry!!!! Will tell you one thing over the phone and then when you bring your animal in, it's a completely different story and you will end up paying way more than what they initially tell you. Called regarding a urine test for cat, was told I could get the take home test and pay when I bring the sample back. My cat was too smart to use the litter provided for the take home test, so I called and asked if they would be able to obtain a sample in person. They said yes no problem it will still be the same price. Get there and wait 30 minutes just to go into an exam room, have a "vet" examine my cat for less than 5 minutes, and then proceed to tell me they don't do urine tests in the office unless you're paying for other services as well. They then turned around and made me pay $150 for this "exam" even though at multiple times I had asked what service I was exactly paying for. I signed "not in agreement" when handed the documents to sign, paid, and then called the financial manager of this location to dispute it. They were unwilling to refund me and made a big ordeal when I went to dispute it through my bank. My cat ended up having an extreme case of bladder crystals and was in high amounts of pain, and all these people cared about was money, and they were fine letting me walk out knowing that I did not receive an actual diagnosis or receive any veterinary services. Because as long as their paycheck comes they don't care about your animal. Absolute hell of a vet clinic. Wouldn't recommend any VCA either, as they claim to be a national chain but have no national number to file complaints.

My dog who is my baby has been going to VCA since he was 6 months old he is now 18 and a gentle blind old man. He is familiar with everyone at VCA Spanish River from wellness checks, to pet problems as well as boarding and grooming. Last fall my dog experienced some hot spots. I called over they said bring him right in. We show up now like I said my dog is blind from Cataracts and has arthritis in his hip. Upon Dr Greenland coming in and treating him he tells my husband and I you know this dog is 18 I think it's time you realize it's time for the talk and the decision to put him down. Noe mind you my dog is on no meds and eats drinks and goes to the bathroom with no issue. Dr Greenland said I even put my dog down as he got old. We left there in tears and when we got home we were appalled a Vet would tell you to kill your dog because he is old. My dog walks around in my living room and he is happy living his best life at the ripe age of 18 and being blind. VCA used to board my dog up and until last Nov 2024. When we picked him up no one said anything they said he was OK and all was good and left. I call to board him in March 2025 and suddenly im told oh we won't board him any longer he is too old. Left me high and dry right before my trip. These are people who say "We treat your pets like family". Ya don't. I spoke to the office manager and I'm told my dog had accidents in the middle of the night and laid in it and they had to clean it up and bathe him. So they now say he needs 24 hour care and won't board him. What you can't care for the "pet who is like family" maybe you should stop using that line when you answer the phone. I took him to Calusa they were shocked a Vet would deny boarding to their animal patient what better place for an older dog to be thsn with their Vet. But I keep getting postcard, emails and texts your dog needs a decal test, it's time for a wellness check please you just want money. I wouldn't let Dr Greenland ever touch my dog again. He should have his license revoked for telling people to put a dog down because of his age. I already reported him to the AVMA. VCA you lost my business. Rocky is better off without you! My baby deserves better!

When our original VCA shut down we originally switched to Calusa. That facility is beautiful, but they were very slow to react when our dog had cancer and there was no continuity with doctors. About a year ago, we switched to this facility and are absolutely thrilled. We see the same veterinarian every time who remembers our dog and takes fantastic care of him. This is the best vet we’ve ever been to.
