Pets Best has been great
Pets Best has been great! It's been almost two years since I brought home my rescue and the peace of mind having this insurance brings is priceless. The price is much better and I feel that I get a lot more than people I know with other insurance companies.

Trupanion is amazing!
I’ve had my chihuahua insured with Trupanion for 2 years now. It is the best money I have ever spent! During that first year my Chihuahua had two episodes of ingesting a foreign substance, which required lengthy visits to the animal ER. Trupanion was there for us both times. My Chihuahua also has issues with his hind knee. Trupanion has helped us with that issue twice. I am extremely impressed with their customer service, the employees on the other end of the phone are kind, compassionate, and helpful. I was recently able to switch over my payments from my Visa to my checking account. The employee who helped me with that was kind and had a lovely sense of humor. Trupanion gives me a sense of security in knowing that when major illness or injury strikes, my Chihuahua is going to be looked after regardless of how much money I have in my bank account. I highly recommend Trupanion to anyone with a pet who is a member of their family.

We will see
I have had some issues with getting clams processed, but it finally went through. I've increased my rating at this time. We will see how future experience goes. I will continue to increase if the issues are actually improved.. if I continue to have further issues, I will keep my review updated with any negative ongoing experiences as well. Hopefully it doesn't take months to process the next time I submit a claim, and hopefully the customer service is a little more helpful if contact becomes necessary.

Watch out for terms that are not disclosed
Watch out for terms that are not disclosed in their marketing: Claims limited to percentage of "Usual and Customary". Reimbursements are not adjusted for costs in different cities, and are inadequate for high-cost areas. Little to no information is provided in advance about typical reimbursement rates, rather you need to presubmit a bill for advice, after you have the plan. Cumbersome and unrealistic. They should at least provide sample reimbursement scenarios for various standardized situations, as is done with human healthcare. Also, claims denied after 270 days after service, even during Covid emergency. Too expensive for what you get. Used to be a good policy, not any more. The plus side is that the salesmen, and perhaps the claims agents, are happy to spend a lot of time on the phone with you, if you like that sort of thing. I would prefer those resources be used to increase reimbursements, not just talk.
