Great Coverage & Caring People

I have to say one of the most remarkable things about Healthy Paws is how much it doesn't feel like you're working with a typical insurance company. All the folks we've come into contact with have been wonderfully supportive and genuinely care about keeping pets healthy and the mission to help rescue as many homeless animals as possible. I am so glad we purchased our coverage when we did, as our boxer experienced a severe liver condition soon afterwards. Throughout his stay in ICU to his return to home healthy & happy, the Healthy Paws staff had our back on the claims so we could focus on getting him healthy again. The claims process is easy, reimbursement is prompt, and the premiums are very reasonable considering the overall quality of service. I would highly recommend this company to any pet owner! They help make difficult times a little easier by allowing you to focus on your pet's well being instead of worrying about the financial burden.

Wonderful service

We got our puppy on a Saturday and purchased the Embrace insurance and Wellness plan on the same day. We took him to our vet on Monday for an examination to make sure he was healthy. At that visit, we purchased heartworm and flea protection. On Friday, we were reimbursed for the entire Wellness amount. The people we spoke with in customer service couldn't have been more helpful. They even helped me set up direct deposit so I will receive the refund even more quickly. We are extremely satisfied with this experience.

THERE IN TIME OF NEED

My darling little Muffin was the most adorable well mannered very healthy and happy shi-poo until one day she had a strange look on her face. In only eight days she left me at only six and a half years old. I took her to the best hospitals to cure my sweet dog but she passed away from a brain infection that was not curable. Pet Best immediately paid 80% of the cost and even covered $100.00 of her cremation. They were very kind over the phone and sent me condolances over my Muffin's loss. The vet cost were around $7000.00. I would have done anything to save her. Pe best came to the rescue financially when I needed it most. I would have prefered not to use the insurance and still have my darling Muffin but I am grateful that I did. Muffin was a part of my life and family and she deserved to have health insurance just like I do.

fast, transparent service after initial hiccup

I have submitted two claims and one wellness claim to date. Embrace has processed and paid its claims within two weeks of submission, with clear explanations of what is covered and what is not. I had some initial issues with getting them to process my dog's past medical history, which was faxed over with the first claim. They stated the records were not medical charts and the full two years were not there (they were); they also lost the first claim paperwork. I called the vet to confirm they were actually medical charts, re-faxed everything, emailed the vet confirmation to Embrace, and it was as if everything got lost again because the same thing happened. It was rather annoying. I told them to look again and it was taken care of. It would have been helpful if they explained what is supposed to happen after your first claim submission. It was below the deductible so I assumed I would hear nothing and didn't realize it was lost until the second claim's process went differently. Also, it would be nice if you could set up direct deposit online instead of having to call in and set it up over the phone. Hopefully going forward things will be smoother.

Outstanding interest and response to our claim

Our 6 yr old male Irish Setter suffered a sudden nose bleed with no apparent cause During the end of July 2010 .The event took us from our primary care veterinarian to Veterinary Oncology and a MRI of our Setter's head and nose in search of a cause for this rather rare event . We could write volumes in regard to this incident . It would appear that our Setter is on the mend . We can not thank the staff at Embrace enough for the interest and support shown to us through this trying time . Our Claim has been handled in a concerned and professional manor. We have had Pet Insurance with other providers in the past but never have we received such service, support and honest concern for our Setter and us . Our heart felt gratitude.

My crazy girl and her borther

My baby girl Kira attacked her littler mate rother, Rocky. They do play rough sometimes but this was all out fight. Sweet Rocky defended himself but did not inflict any wound to Kira. We had to take Rocky to the vet for stiches. Bills weren't huge, but we are already feeling bad about dog fight, Rocky's wound and cost of vet bill. I was actully not sure if dog fight was covered, so I called ASPCA insurance. Operator was really nice, and claim process was simple. Before I had to pay credit card bill, I received a check from them,

Buyer Beware

For the most part, PetsBest was pretty prompt in acknowledging receipt of claims and issuing checks. However, the policy lists $200 as the max it would pay for euthanasia. When I submitted a claim, I was told that euthanasia is considered a "new event" and therefore subject to a deductible. I find that so ridiculous that I immediately cancelled all policies and will go with another company.

Ecellent Customer Services

I have a 10 year Old English Sheep dog, name Gurt, she has a lump on her face and thank goodness it is not cancer. They removed the lump in surgery and then she had blood in her stool, good thing it was only stress from the surgery. Gurt is doing great and ASPCA was excellent. I never had Health insurance for her, it was a relief with all that happen in a short amoutn of time, received checks in a timely manner, they even checked up on Gurt. Thank you ASPCA for taking older dogs. Customer Service was excellent as well with question I had concerning my claim forms.
