Despicable pet Insurance Company
I have been a client of the ASPCA Petshealth Care Insurance Company for over 11 years. I recently submitted claims on behalf of my Li'l Girl, totaling approx. $3000.00, The 1st claim totaling $1400.00 was reimbursed for a total of $300.00. A previous claim of $320.00 was reimbursed for $75.00. I am awaiting the process of the other claims, but do not hold much hope on the 80% reimbursement as stated on their policy. I will be lucky to get 25% reimbursement.Sadly, my Li'l Girl passed away recently, at the age of 18. I miss her very much, and I wish we were still together. My claim problems started with this company when Li'l Girl was jumping around like a kitten, and appeared to be doing really well. But sadly, the Claims dilemma continued and continues, when she took a turn for the worse, and then sadly passed. It is a shame that such a dreadful Pet Insurance Company exists, as I would like to grieve without having to deal with them anymore, but I feel more strongly than ever, that I have to help get the word out to others regarding the deplorable behavior of this company. I am writing to Warn others to stay away from this Pet Insurance Company. And if you are an existing member, cancel your Policy, and shop elsewhere. There are many Fine Pet Insurance Companies out there. You never know how good any Company is until you have a claim, or an issue. Brilliant Service - Highly Recommended
I signed up with Trupanion two years ago (when it was still Vet Insurance) and have never once regretted my decision. My monthly payments are comparable (even lower than were I to go with anyone else), I chose not to have a deductable and they have been wonderful to deal with every time I've had a question, a concern or have had to make a claim. The last claim I made was just this week. I faxed the insurance form and documentation in on Tuesday and not only recieved an email to let me know they recieved the claim, but also emailed me to let me know when it was opened and when a payment would be coming. It's been 3 days later and my claim has already been processed. They are quick, efficient and most definitely the best (and only) choice to make when deciding about pet insurance.

Purchasing Peace of Mind
I had this coverage on my Lab/Chow mix, Angel, for ten years. The renewal premiums always seemed reasonable to me for the coverage provided. I was purchasing peace of mind. If there was an accident, or when she was hospitalized for two weeks with pancreatitis at the end, I knew that at least some portion of my expenses would be recovered. I submitted several claims over the years, including two ACL surgeries, and felt that the reimbursement rates were fair. If I could suggest a change to the coverage, it would be in the pre-existing clause. If your pet is diagnosed with some illness and/or injury, when your policy renews, it is then considered a pre-existing condition and there is no further coverage for that issue. Overall, I had a positive experience with the coverage, and would purchase it again.

Great personal attention from Embrace
Embrace quickly handled my claim. In addition, what really impressed me was the personal correspondence from them. I had some questions about filing my first claim, and they walked me right through it. The individual treatment was a really nice touch. I too had switched from VPI to Embrace, and am very glad I did.

Watch Out!
Inconsistent reimbursement. They did very well with one of my cats, and NOTHING (!!!) for the other one. Wouldn't recommend them because of this inconsistency. Also, no real assistance via telephone regarding protest of their non-payment. Lots of paperwork needed to request a review, including several LAYERS of review. I canceled both cats' policies and went to another provider.

For many years I had my dogs policy with VPI..What a mistake!! They allow so little you get back with each claim!!I last sent in a claim for 450.00 and got back 175.00I am so glad my friend told me about Trupanion and EVERY call to their customer service for anything was 101% PERFECT!!! I just enrolled my dog Frisco and had the great fortune of having Sarrah handle the transaction.She handled the process with ease and amazing knowledge!By the way they have an A rating with the BBB and I am thrilled I found Trupanion!!!

I recently had to ask several questions about our insurance benefits when our sweet Lola injured her leg. At first we thought she was going to need orthapedic surgery and we werent sure how to go about applying for the benefits and how to work with the vet on this. Embrace answered our questions quickly and very clearly but what impressed me the most was their kind and compassionate way they helped me. I had the very clear idea that they truly cared about Lola's injury and helping as best as they could to make sure she got the care she needed. I have seen several advertisements at pet stores and at vet offices for other insurances, but I have never even opened the brochures because Embrace has offered the best personal compassionate service.
