I AM VERY PLEASED WITH PETS BEST

I TOOK OUT THE INSURANCE OVER 2YRS AGO AND HAD A COUPLE CLAIMS SUMMITED. THEY WERE VERY FAST IN PAYING. I AM VERY HAPPY WITH SERVICE AND THE AUTO DEPOSIT ON CLAIMS PAID. C/S IS ALWAYS VERY PLEASANT AND WILL ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE. IT'S GOOD TO KNOW THAT YOUR ANIMALS ARE COVERED WHEN THEY NEED IT. VET BILLS CAN BE EXPENSIVE. THANKS AGAIN FOR THE PEACE OF MIND YOU BRING.

Recommend Hartville

My wife and I don't have children so our Yorkie bailey islike our child. When we first brought Bailey home she fell off the bed and broke her paw. It was then that we got our first taste of the Vet bill portion of pet ownership. Ever since then we have had pet insurance. We have been lucky in that our dog has been healthy but has had some issue requiring vet visits. We feel the rates and reimbursement is fair and the reimbursement time has always been timely. Candidly, we have the insurance mostly for catastrophic things when Bailey gets older. For what you pay, I think it is good piece of mind and we would never be without it for bailey or any pet we may have in the future.

Satisfaction With Coverage

We have had several kitties over the course of our marriage. However, when we adopted Olivia Mai in 2009, we decided to add medical coverage for her as we never had done that in the past for our other kitties. The monthly fee for her coverage was minimal. However, the coverage was very helpful especially when she became ill and lost her battle with the disease she was diagnosed with. Having medical coverage was a blessing and the individuals we needed to interact with were very helpful and courteous. When we add another kitty to our household, we will once again enroll her with Embrace.

Good for about a year

I've had Trupanion for just over a year, and I received an email today saying that my premium was going to DOUBLE! I've never submitted a claim and am signed up for automatic deductions so I've never missed/been late with a payment. Their stated excuse is "Advancements in veterinary medicine continue to improve the quality and lengthen the life of our pets. As cutting-edge technologies and techniques become the standard of care, Trupanion is committed to making these new options available to our policyholders. As a result, a rate adjustment is planned." Whether or not it's just a coincidence that I've only been a member for a year or if they increase your rates after a year, I'm not the least bit happy about this. I would think that if their stated reason was the true reason for the increase that there would be a more gradual increase than the one I got. Needless to say, I don't trust them and think others should beware.

Some is Better than None.

We adopted our Dachsund mixed puppy from the animal shelter when he was only 4-months old. Knowing he was a stray with no history or background, we were concerned with what medical conditions would accompany him. First week we had him, he came down with "kennel cough." Then the next month, a rash, followed by Coccidia, Pancreatitis and Giardia within the first six months of adopting him. We live in Orange County, CA and we searched for a vet that fell within the acceptable range of costs that ASPCA covered. Still have not found one that comes close. However, the claims we've submitted have been covering about 60-70% of the cost, which is better than nothing as we have spent well over the cost to have the insurance and then some. So we definitely don't regret getting pet insurance, and the deductible is $100 annually. I would have to agree with another reviewer about the pre-existing conditions and renewal of the insurance resetting the clock.

SECOND TO NONE !

After extensive research for pet insurance we chose Healthy Paws for our 2 terriers. What an excellent choice it turned out to be. About 3 months later, Digger, our 11 yr old Border Terrier tore his ACL playing with his sister, and needed surgery. We travelled out of town for specialty surgery and were reimbursed 80% five days later. We've had 3 kind phonecalls from Healthy Paws just to see how Digger's doing. I am recommending Healthy Paws to all my friends who are pet parents.

Happy with pet insurance for Tony

Prior to adopting Tony, I had my girl Sasha. In the last two years of her life my husband and I spent a large amount of money for various tests and an operation to remove a slipped disc in her back which was a successful operation. About two year after that operation, she developed several more problems including a tumor, and possibly another disc problem. Due to her age and the recommendation of our vet we finally had to let Sasha go. Knowing I had done everything possible to save her life helped me accept what had to be done for her. I was fortunate that I could provide the care that she needed to the end of her life. When we adopted Tony, I was fully aware of the costs that a pet owner could incur so I elected to obtain pet insurance for Tony and I have been very much satisfied with the results from Trupanion and how they process the claims I have submitted for Tony so far. The insurance provides peace of mind should Tony develop any severe problems in the future.
