Laser Therapy Denied

Out of 10

I have been a customer of Pets Best for over a year and have had excellent service. My concern is that they do not cover laser therapy. My dog has a wound on her foot and the vet is using laser therapy to help heal it more quickly. I would like to see PetsBest consider adding this to their coverage. (My cost is $200 for 6 treatments.)

Hi Diana,We hope your dog is recovering quickly. Pre-existing conditions aren't covered by any pet insurance company. Any illness or injury that begins before your policy is effective, or during your waiting period, will be considered pre-existing. There isn't enough information here to contact you or address your claim specifically, but it sounds like your pet either had or developed an allergy prior to your policy being effective. Even if your pet had no signs or symptoms and wasn't diagnosed, some conditions can still be considered pre-existing because they take weeks or even months to develop, especially in the case of allergies. If you have any additional questions, please call Customer Care at 877-738-7237 we'll be happy to review your claim with you in more detail.

They denied my clam and my appeal. Now they're making a bunch of BS stuff up for not paying for it.
My dog got skin bumps 1 day so I gave him a bath it went away so didn't think much of it. Thought it must have been something in the dog park. Didn't go to the park for 2 days. The following day went to the park and after a while my dog got these bumps again looks like pimples. So gave him a bath again it went away a bit but at night night the came back more. So next day went to buy a better shampoo and gave him a bath again. At night time he was scratching and his ears started to bleed. Took him to vet. Did a bunch of tests and blood work. Got some medicine to bring home and waited for results.

1st clam they denied it because my puppy had a round worm when he was 8 weeks old. Doesn't make sense. Appeal it, then they say I treated my dog at home first before bring him to the vet made it manifested so it's a pre-existing. Then they said my dog had the skin bumps 2 month prior which is BS.
