I took in a rescue and immediately signed up with Banfield because I was very satisfied years ago with my other pet. However, the Banfield by my then home went out of business and sent my animal's records to their corporate headquarters, which haven't been seen since. I moved within the state and went to another Banfield and they had no record of our insurance or that my dog had been treated, so had to sign up for the plan again (at a higher rate because now they claimed my dog had not received wellness care), then they refused to treat him emergently when he ingested some poison. Thankfully I treated him myself (I'm a nurse). They were genuinely insensitive. The plan paid for nothing. Out of pocket was always at least $300 for wellness. I would take him in for annual vaccinations and never received my licensing tags for rabies etc (which they insisted had to be mailed). Ridiculous. Then they sent me to collections for what they claimed were charges that shouldn't have been covered for wellness for a visit that my dog did not receive. I absolutely refuse to pay them another dime. For insensitivity alone, I won't go back. Needless to say, the attorney general will be investigating them.
