I've had Embrace insurance for my dog for less than a year and have been pleased thus far. Recently I was told a skin blemish on the dog's rear end could not be covered because he had an ear infection on his first appointment! Seriously, that's stretching it don't you think? I am disapointed to say the least. Also, you list ear problem and skin porblem seperately below. Obviously you do know they are two different things.

I'm sorry your claim was not covered Barb. The ear infection you mention was actually 2 months prior to the start of your policy. The policy terms state that your dog needs to be free of any dermatalogical conditions, including ear infections, for 12 months if a dermatalogical condition occurred in the year prior to coverage starting. The bumps appeared to be the type that come from allergic reactions (as opposed to a skin mass) and therefore were not covered since it had not been 12 months free of skin conditions.
