I have filed three claims with PetPlan over three years for my rescue mixed breed dog. She has several medical issues including severe hip dysplasia and a seizure disorder. For two of the claims, PetPlan customer service representatives have stated that the paperwork was never received or was incomplete, despite our vet staff's insistence that they submitted the paperwork by fax. How convenient, yes? Needless to say, I am tired of calling PetPlan to inquire about claim status. The third claim was denied based on our policy not covering "routine or preventative care." The claim was for overnight hospitalization for abdominal distention. Routine or preventative? I think not! I plan on cancelling my policy with Pet Plan. The customer service reps at Pet Plan have always been polite on the telephone, which is why I am rating Pet Plan a two instead of a one!
