Must say that I am completely satisfied with my VPI pet insurance policy. When my beloved Geisha, a 4 year old boxer/pit bull mix, suffered an ACL rupture two years ago, it cost me approximately $4000 for x-rays evaluations and surgery. About 2 months after the injury I purchased my VPI insurance policy to hedge my risks for a repeat injury over the remaining years of her life. Low and behold, approximately 2 years after the first ACL rupture it happened again to the other leg. Thank god for the VPI insurance policy. It felt like I had won the lottery when I received my reimbursement check in the mail a few weeks after I submitted my claim. The superior major medical plan covered approximately 85% of the hospital surgery bill. Needless to say, I advise all of my neighbors who have pets, expecially large size dogs, to get VPI major medical insurance protection. I jokingly tell my friends, that my dog has better medical health insurance than I do. And that is a fact.
