We had VPI for 11 yrs and it was OK but not great. Sometimes the vet had to make a call to get the proper coverage for surgery or other treatment. Then our daughter got VPI for a new lab pup. He developed stage 5 lymphoma at age 1 1/2 and had chemo and all sorts of tests. She spent $10,000 hoping to have him for another 8-13 months. From VPI she received $2,300. She was devastated, and furious at the horrible coverage VPI provided. We have a new pup now and did not even consider VPI again. We got Pet Plan, which has 90% coverage and does not cut off when treatment continues.
