We had our dog on the Wellness Plan for 13 years! We had to put her down on January 19, and now they are telling us that we have to keep paying on the plan until November!!! All they EVER want is your money! They don't give a CRAP about the fact that your dog is DEAD! Will NEVER go to them or recommend them!!

I am so sorry for the loss of your pet, it is so hard to lose such a beloved friend. I hate to say it, but I work for a Banfield and the wellness plans unfortunately are a year contract and this can happen. If you were on a plan for only two months when your pet dies (paying about $30/month) and you used the dental, bloodwork, and vaccines (about $400 worth of care). Then it wouldn't make sense to just pay $60 and get those services. The cancellation team tried to give you the cheapest option (either paying for the services used or continuing with the monthly payments). I hope this helps you understand. The staff you knew at your Banfield is not in it for the money and we absolutely hate the hassle that goes along with cancelling those year long plans. But it makes sense and is written in the agreement you signed for your poor pooch. We try to state this fact to all of our senior pet owners to make it clear, and I am sorry you were left unaware.

stop payment and take it to court,afterall you're not expected to pay auto insurance on a vehicle that no longer operates.
