VPI Always Responsive

I wish VPI paid more and had more realistic pricing schedules. I also wish they would cover at lest some medications. However, I am very glad I got VPI for my dog. She had a lot of health problems as a puppy and this really helped. Now that she is older, some of those problems are causing complications again and I am glad we have the insurance to help us out with the large bills. VPI was very responsive in changing the diagnosis and covering all the visits under the ultimate diagnosis instead of calling each a separate incident when the vet started with one diagnosis, then decided it was something else and then deciding it was altogether something unexpected. I also wish they understood the extensive use of acupuncture. My vet uses it not only for pain but during operations for anesthesia, for infections and just about any diagnosis. My dog has been treated for demodex, urinary tract infections, skin allergies, ear infections, diarrhea, arthritis, and most recently rheumatoid arthritis. However when VPI sees it on the bill they think it must be for arthritis and then we hit the cap of reimbursement on that condition. But overall I am pleased with how the agents work with you to resolve issues and the speed with which they process the claims. I wish I could have afforded their insurance for my other dog.
