Scheduled benefits with unrealistic limits!

I have had VPI for 12 years with 2 dogs covered. What is most frustrating is their assigned scheduled benefits. While an ear infection for example may have adequate coverage, anything serious has a VERY low reimbursement level. EX. My dog was hospitalized for 4 days for liver/gallbladder problems--cost came to about $6,000. VPI paid out less than $2000! Make sure to get an ins policy that pays ACTUAL vet bills not according to what they think the cost should be!!
