i was considering dropping pet insurance on my dogs when we were slammed with the fact that my 4 year old pitbull has lymphoma.of course we were devastated and we were committed to the most aggressive form of chemotherapy. vpi has been paying us back at least 50% and most times 90% minus the deductible. the clincher is that once we reach $1200 this policy year for chemo the benefits dry up. i think they will keep on paying for the tests and exams ,but not the drugs. i hope that they don't drop him when his policy is up for renewal.the oncologist thinks that if he has a reoccurance of lymphoma they won't pay, but she wasn't talking about vpi per se.
