Pet insurance is a good idea

We haven't had a dog for at least 20 years. Last August our yellow lab'Annie' was given to us by Guide Dogs. She didn't make the cut as a guide dog. We had no idea how expensive visits to the vet can be. After the
first $1000 vet bill we got ASPCA insurance. Then we found a lump on
Annie's back which turned out to be harmless, but the bill for removing
the lump was over $800. We filed a claim and ASPCA sent us a check for
$438. I have no complaints about ASPCA. They were prompt and
courteous and friendly on the phone.
