Very Low Reimbursements

VPI's reimbursement schedule is a joke. I submitted three vet bills for a total of $361 and received $162 in reimbursements. To top it off, even though the illness was a reoccurrence from a problem six months prior, they treated it as a new illness so I had to pay a $50 deductible. Dealing with this company is very frustrating and I would love to switch but now that my pet has a pre-existing condition I could not get other insurance. So unfortunately, I'm stuck with this. My cats is still young, but I shudder to think about dealing with this company as she gets older and the bills get bigger.

Try PetPlan, USA. They take pets with chronic and pre-existing conditions. If you try to insure your pet with PetPlan to get your claim paid for the pre-existing condition, then they will not pay it. However, they will still insure your pet. I just signed up with PetPlan and they did not even ask me if any of my cats have pre-existing conditions.
Hope this helps.
