Having been a customer of this company for several years and two Dandie Dinmonts, I feel qualified to comment on my experience. My older dog died at age 14 three years ago and after finding another wonderful companion, one of the first moves I made was to continue our association with VIP Pet Insurance. For most of those years, our problems were few, vet visits and treatment were generally compensated with clear exlanations. Then a few months ago, my dog suffered a terrible accident involving a cat that resulted in paralysis her rear legs and a trip to Columbus for extensive back surgery, when no one here felt qualified to do the surgery. While the outcome was uncertain for some time, she is now doing water therapy each week and recovering her strength following the work of a wonderful team in Columbus. When the accident occurred, there was no hesitation but to find the best care which I believe we had. However we also had the support of VPI that past experience assured. Not only did we receive a an extensive contribution from VPI, but we received it in record time and we were able to follow the details of the review on line. Before purchasing my policy for Adele, my older Dandie, I did a rather full investigation of other plans on line around the country, decided on VPI and have never been disappointed. It is important of understand the terms of the various types VPI policies to not only be as prepared as possible in the event of a claim, but also to be realistic about
