When I purchased VPI pet insurance I knew that it would not cover certain conditions for certain dogs. Knowing that, I still bought the coverage for my newest dog, India, a yorkie-poo. I am so glad that I did. India had a "mystery" illness that resulted in visits to 3 different vets/clinics in an attempt to figure out why she was throwing up blood and also had blood in her stools. Even though I never got a firm diagnosis from any of the vets/clinics, India improved. I was afraid that without a firm diagnosis my claim might be rejected. It was not and I was very pleasantly surprised by the amount that I received from VPI.
