Did not pay for accidents

Out of 10

Began coverage in approx. 1985 with my first Silver Persian. Had never question a claim and only used the insurance for annual visits. Currently have two policies for my two persians (Total indoor cats). The one and only time I really needed VPI to cover a claim was when my newest kitten fell from a chair and reluted in a medial patella luxation. Surgery was in excess of $1,000. Claim was denied because wasn't covered. I have paid thousands of dollars over the years for premiums (which continue to increase) and now I am contemplating my actions. I know I will not continue with VPI but am not sure about other plans. VPI is good with the small stuff---annuals but doesn't follow through when an accident occurs.
