My cat Leo, who never seems to get sick was acting lethargic and breathing rapidly. When I called my regular vet they we getting ready to close so they sent me to the emergency vet. There he was given IV fluids and put in an oxygen tent. They did X-rays and blood tests and nothing was conclusive. He stayed in the hospital for two nights and was doing better by the third day. The vet thought it may have been a gastro-intestinal problem. The fluids and rest seemed to heal him. Happily he is back to his old self now.
I was very nervous that PetPlan would find a way to deny my claim, but after making sure my regular vet faxed over his previous records they sent me a check for the entire amount less my deductible.
I couldn't be more pleased. And just as a point of reference, I have a 11 year old dog who is too old to get on the insurance and after a bout of cancer (she is fine now) and TPLO surgery for her knee (also fine) which all happened last year I spent almost $20k on her.
I will never not carry PetPlan insurance on all my animals.
